6footunder is a surf club based in Kommetjie, Cape Town, South Africa.
6footunder seeks to promote the art of mellow surfing and to lure aging surfers into the sea.

How do you know if you belong? If any of the statements below are true for you, you belong!

The only tow-in you have ever experienced is when your Kombi broke down on the way to E-Bay in 1985. The only Dungeons you have been to is an S&M club in Benoni. You believe school hours in coastal towns should be lengthened from sunrise to sunset. The only rip and tear you have done is getting your wet suit around your boep. You agree that tarring the road to E-Bay is an environmental disaster. There are times when you get to the back line and know that you are poep scared.

What does 6footunder offer
A regular social surf get together to welcome rusty surfers back to the water, to share some waves and a beer afterwards
Specials on local Kommetjie Surf boards
Specials on Advanced Surf Coaching lessons
Occasional guest lectures/movies or so.
Information on surfing spots, surf travel venues and member's experiences.

There is no membership fee
The club was launched on 1 October 2006- with 1 member. A discount is offered on the membership fee for the first 100 members to enrol. As soon as membership has (at least doubled) surf get together and other activities will be planned and emailed to all members.
